SELECTING THE FABRICS, LINING AND ACCESSORIES

The Product/Fashion Division and Models Division cooperate in creating all the collections, by selecting the fabrics and developing the lines that will determine the fashion trends for each season. Apart from the fabrics, the Fashion division also takes care of selecting the lining and accessories (buttons, zips and hooks). The selected materials then undergo a number of tests ordered by the Quality Control department of the Company, so as to check:
- Composition and weight
- Shrinkage in weft and warp
- Dynamometric resistance
- Fastness to light
- Tear- and –wear resistance
The Product division may contact the supplier to see whether the fabrics that do not pass one of the tests can be improved, in which case all the tests are repeated on the new samples sent by the supplier. Before moving on to designing the models, all the fabrics chosen are once again put to the test: a sample item is created to see whether the fabric “loses its handle” or shows any defects after it has gone through the various manufacturing stages.
